Senior Infrastructure Engineer IAM

As a Barclays Senior Infrastructure Engineer IAM, you will support in accelerating a new digital platform capability, transforming and modernising our digital estate to build a market-leading digital offering with customer experience at its heart. What will you be doing?
• Collaborating in the design, build and enablement of a centralised secure, scalable and performant IAM platform
• Supporting the creation and maintenance of the technical roadmap for the evolution of the group wide IAM platform
• Coaching, collaborating and facilitating colleagues and engineers to design and build a resilient platform, following proven and robust practices
• Ensuring the highest levels of platform security and compliance are adhered to
• Providing feedback and action activities to mature and improve operations and processes within the team and more broadly across the function
• Engaging with partners across the bank and contributing to patterns and practices that support the platform’s IAM capabilities, demonstrating automation and efficient environment operation
• Demonstrating hands-on engineering-led leadership to both the team and the wider tech community
What we’re looking for:
• Experience in cloud and on-premises based infrastructure, virtual machines, containerisation (Kubernetes), network access controls, VPCs, proxies, automated deployment scripts
• Site Reliability Engineering experience, automation, observability, incident management, resilience, disaster recovery, high availability, documentation
• Experience of IAM systems, Directory servers (x.500 /LDAP), access management, identity gateways
• Knowledge in automated script based deployment and configuration
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience in AWS Solution Architecture or DevOps Engineer
• Experience in MS Azure, Solution Architect, Cybersecurity Architect
• Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) and Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• CI/CD: GitLab, Jenkins, Chef, Git skills

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
