Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Azure, AWS, Cisco, MCSE, CCNP, Part Remote, Part Milton Keynes
Senior Infrastructure Engineer required to work for an exciting company based in Milton Keynes. We need a hardened, experienced Infrastructure Engineer who has been there / done that and is confident in their ability as an Infrastructure Engineer right across the board.This will be 2 days at home and 3 days in the office...but you will have a nice, new company car to travel to the office in!
We need someone with Cloud Technology experience (preferably Azure), solid Microsoft experience, along with Cisco and 3rdparty supplier exposure. Read on for more details
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement and maintain IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage systems, networks, and other related technologies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize infrastructure needs and develop plans to meet those needs.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and reliability of the infrastructure.
Monitor the performance of the infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, working with other IT teams as needed.
Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure that infrastructure solutions meet organizational needs.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior members of the team.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure solutions, such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with network design, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and Firewall technologies.
Knowledge of server and storage systems, including virtualization technologies.
Strong understanding of security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Relevant industry certifications, such as VCP, MCSE, CCNP, AWS or Azure Certified Solutions Architect, are preferred.
