Experience required- Management of UNIX/Linux Servers
- Management of Windows desktops
- IT Support - Laptop setup, video conferencing, routing/firewalls/VPNs/MDM
- Server and Datacentre Hardware/Infrastructure
- Networking including routing, firewalls, cabling, switches
- Monitoring
Advantageous
- DevOps
- AWS/Kubernetes
This role includes
- IT Management - Handling of day to day requests from scientists and executive team. Development of processes. Maintain inventory of IT equipment.
- System Administration - Ensure stability of systems. Monitor servers and networks. Implement upgrades
- IT Service Maintenance - Monitor performance of IT services. Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders. Identify service improvements.
- Security & Compliance - Ensure all systems comply with security standards.
- Reporting & Documentation - Produce regular reports and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Budgeting & Cost Management - Assist with IT budgeting, monitor expenses, and identify cost savings.
