Location: Hybrid – Central London (1 day/week)Rate: £775-800 per dayContract: Initial 6-month rolling contractRole Overview: We’re looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join a dynamic team working on a complex, cloud-based market infrastructure service. In this role, you’ll be pivotal in building, maintaining, and optimizing a critical platform. You’ll ensure the platform is resilient, scalable, and delivered on time.Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain core components of the platform.Solve complex issues and design resilient solutions.Contribute to new project ideas and drive engineering excellence.Maintain clear documentation and manage stakeholder communication. Key Skills: Event-Driven Microservices: Expertise in microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and event-driven architecture.Java Programming: Advanced Java skills (Java 17+), Spring Boot, and enterprise-grade application development.Database Management: Strong SQL skills and experience with AWS S3 and relational databases.Cloud Architecture: Experience with AWS, including Aurora and IAM.Agile Methodologies: Experience in Scrum/Kanban and cross-functional team collaboration. Nice to Have: Experience with Scala and ReactJS.
