Senior Juniper Engineer WFH London Salary £70k + on-call allowance The Senior Network Services Engineers purpose is to technically lead the management of the NOC network operations and the global network infrastructure. To deliver the network transformation and automation to provide exceptional customer service experience, as well as new services and innovation The enterprise They have a constellation of GEO high throughput satellites with steerable beam clusters, 7 Gateway Earth Stations through EMEA and a head office in the City of London. They have been acknowledged by competitors for well-engineered reliable client solutions. This is an agile business, thats just beaten the competition to two major contracts. In 2019 they were the first to have stations and full authorisations in Nigeria & South Africa. 2019/20 was a year of high achievement with revenues were up 100%, they are profitable, and costs reduced by 25%. Responsibilities Technical lead in the management of NOC network operations Management of the global network covering EMEA Management of satellite ground network connectivity and integration with teleport operators Provide technical expertise in design, scope & implementation of new network solutions. Lead the development of network automation initiatives Apply traffic engineering to improve network resiliency and efficient use of data circuits Provide the technical leadership and to less experienced team members Network transformation to provide greater visibility, control, faster delivery of connectivity and increase operational efficiency Design & develop network to provide Network-as-a-Service and integrate cloud connectivity Work with mobile operators to integrate their mobile services using satellite technology Essential Experience of Juniper and Fortinet ((MX routers, EX switches & SRX/Fotigate firewalls) 7 years experience in networking technology and a minimum of five years working with the Juniper product range listed above. Experience of ISP bandwidth and subscriber products (DPI) - preferably Sandvine solutions. ISP/telecom experience, preferably with hands-on working experience with MPLS, EVPN and QoS. Competency in networking protocols/services: MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IPSec, GRE, CGNAT, QoS, EVPN, multicast Experience in the administration of network resources ASN, IP Addressing, etc. Excellent traffic/packet analysis skills Knowledge of Linux operational commands Project management experience Its a 24x7 service and this role is required to participate in the on-call rota. Desirable: Open-source monitoring & graphing tools such as Nagios, Splunk, Cacti/RRDtool, Shinken & Graphite Python and Linux Shell Scripting experience Experience in the use of network automation software and tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Git, etc. Experience of SDN and NFV implementations Appreciation of the DevOps approach Benefits: Bonus Healthcare package Pension Support with visa The salary is £70k + on-call allowance.
