Job Description

We are seeking a talented and innovative educator with extensive experience in teaching Advertising at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and curriculum development, and ongoing scholarship within the Communications and Media programme. You will join our team of academics, creatives, and practitioners, contributing to our courses in Advertising, Media Communications, Contemporary Media Cultures, and Public Relations.

Your role will involve collaborating with the course team to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions, with a focus on advertising theory and practice. This includes areas such as diversity and equality in advertising, digital advertising, visual branding, advertising strategy and campaigning, consumer behaviour research, and sustainable and ethical advertising.

About you

As an early to mid-career researcher or professional with equivalent experience, you will have a growing record of excellent teaching in Higher Education and a commitment to delivering a high-quality student experience. This includes curriculum delivery, pastoral support, and assessment.

You will bring advanced knowledge in advertising and be able to contribute to broader processes of change through innovative pedagogy, knowledge exchange, and/or research. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is required. Additionally, you will demonstrate a strong dedication to advancing the field through research or knowledge exchange, and the ability to identify potential funding sources and industry engagement.

If you are passionate about shaping the future of advertising education, we would love to hear from you.
