Job role: Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy

Location: London, United Kingdom

Department: Applied Sport and Exercise Sciences, School of Health, Sport, and Biosciences

Salary: £51,030 - £58,451 (£3K annual uplift for experienced candidates in first 3 years)

Contract Type: Full-time- hybrid (3 days onsite)


The University is a leading institution committed to innovative education and positive change. We're seeking a Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy to join our dynamic team. The Department for Applied Sport and Exercise Sciences is expanding, offering exciting opportunities in sport, exercise, and wellbeing. The university boasts purpose built, state of the art laboratories and facilities including clinics, sports therapy suites, physiology, biomechanics and strength and conditioning laboratories as well as world class sports halls.


As a Senior Lecturer, you'll provide an inclusive learning experience for sports therapy and exercise students. You'll contribute to course development, research, and administrative activities.


Your responsibilities as a Senior Sports Therapy Lecturer will be to:


• To provide an effective and inclusive learning experience for sport therapy and sport and exercise students on a range of UG and post graduate sports related courses

• To contribute to the growth, development and leadership of Sport modules and courses

• To contribute to the school’s teaching, research and administrative activities

• To supervise research students and undertake administrative activities as requested by the Head of Department

• To contribute to the wider development of the school and university, collaborating across departments and schools

• To course lead on, for example, the MSc in Sports Therapy


To be successful in the role you will have:

• Degree in a Sports Therapy relevant area

• Membership of professional body appropriate to Sports Therapy

• Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and/or Fellow/Senior Fellow status with the HEA and/or equivalent demonstrable experience/qualification or willing to obtain on arrival
