SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL - IN HOUSE [EDINBURGH]

ENERGY
New role – Leading renewables business, Edinburgh based (a subsidiary of a Global Energy Co) has a new opening for a Senior Legal Counsel. This European operation has an impressive portfolio of on-shore and off-shore windfarms.
- Working with the Head of Legal with all legal matters to ensure the provision of strategic, business specific, legal, governance, compliance and regulatory advice, on all Company, project, operational and transactional matters.
- Assisting the Head of Legal and leading on general corporate/commercial, and commercial contract advice and the identification and management of legal risks to the business and to its senior management, directors and shareholders
- Drafting bespoke agreements and the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, consultancy agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other agreements, as required.
- Involvement and where relevant, responsibility, for corporate, contracting, financing and other key aspects of renewable energy projects.
- Involvement in legal aspects of UK and European energy related M&A transactions.
- Leading on Company secretarial duties and ensuring good governance and compliance with all regulatory aspects.
What we are looking for:
Min 4 yrs PQE ++ experience in any of the following:
- Commercial / Corporate
- Projects [Infrastructure]
- Project Finance
- Construction
The Legal function is based in EDINBURGH and the role will require to be in the office 3 days a week.
