A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a FTSE 50, global organisation in a hands on Senior Legal Counsel role. The essential requirement is for a UK Qualified or Common Law qualified lawyer and to be a lawyer that has been involved in Marketing & Advertising from a consumer protection point of view.

Location: 2 days in the office (Slough)
Duration: 12 months (Fixed Term Contract), up to £128k package
What we are looking for:
A Senior Legal Counsel that can work within a very fast paced environment. The main areas of work will include Advertising & Marketing (Consumer Protection), Crisis & Issues Management, Commercial Contracts, and IP to name a few.
Essential requirements.
- Business Partnering with predominantly Advertising / Marketing (60%), Sales & Procurement
- Provide legal advice from a marketing advertising perspective
- Experience of looking at product packaging advising on packaging not IP trademark or brand design, but from a consumer protection point of view
- Investigating and advising on claims that are being made on products
- In terms of Advertising there are tv adverts, social media, digital media and dealing with social media influencers
- You will know how to deal with challenges by the Advertising standards agency and also by competitors about the materials being put out
- Consumer Goods or similar sector background
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills; good grasp of English law/EU law and the regulations that apply to the enterprises being supported, a creative and pragmatic mind especially with respect to the marketing and sales advisory aspects of the role
- Commercially orientated, solutions driven approach with the ability to work autonomously
- Establishing, maintaining, and improving the group’s legal services and being a key team player with an understanding of and a passion for technology
