Our client is a well-established entity and one of the largest owner/operators of rapid electric vehicle charging stations across the UK. They have a substantial presence in the market and employ a large number of professionals across various disciplines.
Job Description
- Managing and overseeing areas of the UK legal team;
- Providing support to the Head of Legal;
- Assisting the team with queries and ensuring compliance with processes and procedures;
- Leading meetings with the legal team;
- Providing legal advice on a wide range of legal matters including contracts, regulatory compliance and commercial property matters;
- Reviewing, reporting and negotiating Contracts;
- Providing training and support to the legal team;
- Identifying and mitigating legal risks;
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases with the client's solicitor;
- Carrying out of title review and circulating this to the internal teams together with raising any necessary title enquiries with the Landlord's solicitor;
- Supporting the development of standard legal documents and templates;
- Working closely with external solicitors and internal teams to ensure processes are followed throughout the lifetime of the project;
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Legal Counsel should have:
- UK/Ireland qualification
- The suitable candidate will have at least 5 years PQE, primarily in commercial property, commercial leases and contract law.
- Experience of working in-house and leading team members is essential for this role.
- Experience in the EV world is desirable
- Able to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload effectively under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
