The Company:

An international player and service provider in the renewable energy sector, who produce and sell electricity from wind, solar, hydraulic, biomass and storage facilities.

A 4GW pipeline in operation/under construction, and portfolio of projects under development, total project pipeline 15 GW.


The Role:

As a Senior Legal Counsel some of your duties will be:

  • Providing legal assistance to teams involved in EPC, (O&M), and (Dev/IPP) projects throughout Europe.
  • Negotiating and reviewing contracts with lenders.
  • Assisting in the drafting and review of agreements, tenders, and other commercial documents.
  • Offering legal counsel on regulatory compliance, licensing, and the development of new projects.
  • Updating existing contract templates and contributing to the creation of new templates.
  • Reviewing corporate documents, monitoring relationships, tracking litigation cases, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Overseeing litigation cases and assessing risks involving suppliers, stakeholders, and business partners.
  • Supporting Operations & Services with commercial agreements.
  • Addressing compliance issues across projects.
  • Providing support to the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager.


The Person:

  • Law Degree (Portugal) experienced in English Law is an advantage.
  • At least 7 years experience in UK Law., (within law firm or company).
  • Renewable energy experience in onshore wind and solar P.V is required.
  • Experienced in corporate, commercial, construction law with knowledge of distribution, consumer laws and regulations.
  • Native English, French/Portuguese is a bonus.
  • Ability to work under pressure in complex renewable projects.
