Do you possess a strong understanding of relevant regulations such as ICOBS and IDD, including knowledge of regulatory bodies like the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulatory Authority? Our Client’s Legal Team is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join them. Under the guidance of their Head of Legal and Regional Head of Legal, you'll play a key role in safeguarding the company's interests by ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for our UK Service & Insurance business.
- Your responsibilities will include documenting services provided to our customers, providing legal advice to internal stakeholders, and supporting our entities in legal and regulatory matters.
- You will act as a trusted business partner offering developed and clear legal advice relating to both the UK & Ireland Business Unit and wider regional projects.
- You will also support the UK & Republic of Ireland entities with regard to legal, regulatory and internal standards and rules to support the Solvency II framework and ethical working practices.
Requirements:
- A qualified legal professional with experience in UK regulatory environments
- Knowledge of ICOBS, IDD, and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Expertise in advising on Insurance Distribution and related legal matters
- Familiarity with Financial Crime, Competition Law, and Data Protection regulations
- Hardworking and trustworthy individual with outstanding interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent
- Completion of legal training
- Qualified solicitor or barrister
