Job Description

Purpose: To maintain all company plant and equipment in a good and safe working order and ensuring compliance with best practice.

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Reporting to Manufacturing Engineer, To keep all equipment (e.g. Manufacturing or Plant) compliant with legal requirements and to liaise with insurance inspectors as appropriate.
  2. To keep updated all registers and list pertaining to the aforementioned equipment and plant.
  3. To ensure testing of the fire alarms and emergency lighting at appropriate times.
  4. To be compliant with all Health and Safety, to be aware of company policy and procedures.
  5. To be compliant with the environmental policy and awareness of the company procedures regarding emergency preparedness and response.
  6. Investigate & risks/Issues with manufacturing challenges with equipment put on long term & short plans in place.
  7. Planned and scheduled repairs to be organised with Logistic Manager & Chief Maintenance Engineer, Logistics manager to agree time frame, Report when repair has been finished to Logistics & Chief Maintenance Engineer.
  8. KPI update and reported as agreed in BIC (best in class) Meeting.
  9. Help with Development projects with Development Team - e.g. Oil systems, delivery of oil on to part, Roller boxes etc…
  10. As supervisor of staff, your staff must have planned workload in place for day to day duties Appraisal with your staff. Reported through the appraisal procedure.

Knowledge & Experience Require: Engineering, presses design and construction Fabrication Electrical Knowledge (18th Edition is preferred) Maintenance engineer must keep maintenance records updated PPM and breakdown maintenance reports
