About this role

Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand Marketing, the Senior Manager, Retail Brand Experience (RBE), leads the RBE function in EMEA, developing best-in-class brand and product storytelling strategies in store. They implement global direction and create regional strategies that deliver a consistent brand execution in store and drive conversion. This role is both responsible and accountable for windows, in-store installations, brand screens, and other in-store storytelling executions, including collaborating with marketing and retail partners to execute brand campaigns and seasonal plans. In addition, they oversee the Visual Merchandising and Styling team, balancing the art and science of product placement, styling and storytelling. They manage a team of 4+ and sit on the Brand Marketing Leadership Team, supporting the smooth running of the overarching function.

Responsibilities


  • Design the annual RBE calendar, identifying key moments that support EMEA business objectives
  • Review global campaigns and tailor these for regional in-store implementation
  • Innovate net-new regional creative strategies
  • Own end-to-end the strategic planning, briefing, and execution of windows and in-store installations
  • Strategically plan, manage, and brief – where necessary – engaging store screen content in line with key campaigns and guest messaging
  • Be aware of innovation and trends within the retail concept space, regularly meeting with agencies, attending tradeshows, and visiting key retail spaces to push the boundaries of regional activations

Visual Merchandising and Styling (VMS)

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product and Retail partners to understand business needs
  • Support the VMS team to curate in-store product presentation that delivers a best-in-class experience for our guests
  • Enable the delivery of plans and training tools for application across varied store formats, including facilitating store training content
  • Oversee the partnership with Store Design and Product on guest journeys, layouts and zoning for NSOs and optimisations

Team leadership

  • Collaborate with global teams to understand business priorities and direction. Share back regional insights that identify unique market needs to support global strategy development
  • Lead, manage and develop a high-performing, multi-functional team
  • Annual budget management – planning and accountability
  • Key Performance Indicators: guest, educator and team sentiment; sell-through, brand awareness and familiarity

Experience

  • 10-15 years of experience as a senior visual space creator, ideally for a premium, purpose-led, global business with a challenger brand mentality
  • Demonstrable experience creating impact on guest experience and sales using innovative ideas without compromising brand equity
  • Thorough understanding of the full marketing mix and the contribution of RBE
  • Highly developed aesthetic, sense of style and trend knowledge
  • People and team leadership experience
  • Degree level education preferred

Role Classification

This role is classified as Hybrid under our global SSC Hybrid Workplace Policy. In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed at both the SSC office and home office every week.
