Job Description
A well known and global consumer retail brand focused on delivering iconic household brands to consumers is currently looking for a high flying Senior Manager to join their Strategic Ops team to work on high profile projects across the European business.
The brand is well known across the globe and continues to grow at an exponential rate throughout Europe which is why they are now seeking a Senior Manager to join the Strategic Operations function to work on projects to ready the business for the next stage of its business life cycle. The successful candidate will be joining a small but high calibre team of 3 that execute high impact strategic initiatives across the business to facilitate growth as well as transition the business to a more mature operating model.
Throughout your time in the role you will be expected to autonomously lead on various initiatives including target operating models, process design, building governance, optimising business process and go to market strategy. You will do this while navigating a highly diverse set of stakeholders across various different functions as well as demonstrating the ability to quickly solve complex analytical problems and provide recommendations of a practical course of action and follow through.
Responsibilities
Work closely with relevant key stakeholders internally, assisting with executing various strategic high impact projects across Europe (inclusive of target operating models, process design, optimising business processes, governance,go to market strategy, growth strategy and distribution strategy)
The ability to run strategic, consulting type projects in house in a fast moving highly demanding environment.
The ability to programme/ project manage multiple projects to support initiatives across the European Region.
Maintain relevant models to support country and regional expansion.
Interface with an array of senior stakeholders ranging in seniority, including up to c suite level (COO, CTO, CEO etc.) The successful candidate must have the ability to deal with multiple senior stakeholders in a very fast paced environment.
Building relationships with these stakeholders and understanding their needs - Collaborating with other functional areas of the business to ensure efficient and productive working relationships.
Ensure logistics are running effectively, as well as driving project schedules and plans - will be expected to ensure various stakeholders are on track to meet their deliverables and are held accountable, where appropriate
Assist the team with ad hoc Excel data analysis, research and the creation of compelling PowerPoint deliverables.
What you will need:
Ideally from a consulting background (5-8 years of experience from a relevant consultancy)
Previous operational experience - must be comfortable executing strategic initiatives, inclusive of target operating models, process design, optimising business processes, governance etc.
Exceptional analytical and research capabilities - must be comfortable autonomously analysing large volumes of data in Excel, creating compelling PowerPoint deliverables and getting involved with analytical and research tasks, where necessary
Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities - must be comfortable interfacing with senior stakeholders ranging in seniority, up to c-suite level and across different business functions
Experience in defining solutions to complex business challenges using a deeply analytical and data driven approach
The ability to balance strong attention to detail with swift execution under pressure. The client needs to do things quickly but they need to be done with exceptional quality.
Keen to roll up your sleeves and address things hands on. This role will not suit someone who wants to purely focus on top level strategy 100 percent of the time.
Must have experience working within a relevant industry - such as consumer goods, electronics, retail
