SENIOR MATERIALS TECHNOLOGIST
PERMANENT | LIVERPOOL | SALARY DOE

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Materials Technologist to join the team in Liverpool and will report directly to the Group Technical Director. The ideal candidate will have experience in thermoplastic compounds and masterbatches, with a strong preference for those with knowledge of nanoparticles and polymer stabilisation. This is a global role that requires flexibility, autonomy and minimal supervision.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and participate in the formulation, development, and optimisation of thermoplastic compounds and masterbatches, and apply expertise in the use of nanoparticles and polymer stabilisation techniques to enhance product performance.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs, provide technical support, and offer innovative solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive testing and analysis of polymer materials to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
- Work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and other stakeholders to drive projects forward and achieve technical objectives.
EXPERIENCE
- Postgraduate degree in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of industrial experience in a related discipline is essential. Extensive experience in thermoplastic compounds and masterbatches is highly preferred. Experience with nanoparticles and polymer stabilisation is preferred.
- Experience in the formulation, development, and testing of polymer materials.
- Basic financial understanding to manage budgets, conduct cost analysis, and support decision-making
