We have opportunities to be part of the Mechanical Design team in the role of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.


As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Formula 1 cars. Your focus will be on suspension design, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety. You’ll collaborate closely with aerodynamicists, vehicle dynamics experts, and production engineers to create cutting-edge solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Suspension System Design: Design and development of suspension components, including wishbone members, internal springs and dampers.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve by exploring new geometries, materials and manufacturing techniques.
  • Simulation and Analysis: Utilise advanced simulation tools to evaluate suspension performance under various load conditions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate suspension systems seamlessly into the overall vehicle design.
  • Testing and Validation: Participate in testing programs in the lab, to validate designs.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on Formula 1 suspension systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).
  • Attention to Detail: Critical for reliable assemblies.
  • Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively.

Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in a relevant role either in motorsport or another high performance industry. However, applications for a junior position will be considered for graduates who can demonstrate academic excellence and a high level of extra-curricular commitment.
