Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Automation Machinery


We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with proven experience developing process and/or automation machinery into manufacture to play a crucial role in advancing our mission.


You’ll take on a key role in creating robust, manufacturable detailed designs for our robotic manufacturing system. As a senior designer you'll be given autonomy and responsibility to design critical modules, leveraging your expertise to swiftly guide us towards stable and reliable solutions.

Requirements


  • A strong background in Engineering, gained either by degree or vocational route.
  • Proven, hands-on experience developing and delivering products into manufacture.
  • Able to construct detailed tolerance analyses and use appropriate analytical techniques to aid your design work.
  • Highly skilled and fast in the use of 3D CAD (ideally SolidWorks).
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience in complex precision devices in the 10’s-microns to 10’s-mm length-scale.
  • Deep experience of material and manufacturing method selection.
  • The ability to translate devices from ‘works’ to ‘works all the time’
  • Experience gained within the following industries are likely to have provided relevant experience: medical devices, consumer product, automotive, aerospace, digital printing.
