Senior Mechanical Designer 12-Month Contract | Warrington | Inside IR35 Role Overview: The Senior Mechanical Designer will provide technical support and leadership to a multidisciplinary design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs across the project lifecycle, from concept to in-service support. This role requires strong CAD skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of relevant engineering and design practices. Specialist knowledge in a specific design area is essential. Key Responsibilities: Develop and refine design solutions, resolving complex issues. Offer technical guidance and advice to the design team. Ensure adherence to technical standards and design governance. Work independently with significant technical autonomy. Requirements: HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Extensive experience in detailed design environments. Proficiency in CAD tools and general engineering drawing practices. Incorporated Engineer status (or working towards). Proven experience leading a multidisciplinary design team. Strong communication and cross-discipline collaboration skills. Desirable: Membership in a relevant professional institute. Experience in commercial or defence projects.
