Job Description

What is the opportunity?

  • To join a new building services design firm, who have been inspired by, and created to fill, the gap between the outputs of traditional consultants and the people who develop drawings into buildings.
  • To take ideas and concepts and to realise these, collaborating with contractors and specifiers, into the built environment we all occupy.
  • To see your work deliver real benefits and real buildings, that work well.
  • To get into the detail and deliver. To engineer.
  • To use your communication skills and proactively collaborate.
  • To see it come together on site. To make it happen. To deliver those real embodied and operational carbon reductions. Those real energy savings.
  • To work across a diverse portfolio of high-quality projects, in Residential, Commercial, Leisure, Education, Civic, Health and Later Living. Over 12 months work in hand.
  • To be part of creating and developing a newer company, working with three directors and a handful of other colleagues, to be part of the growth and success of the group.
  • To work out of high-quality office space in BS8 (on a hybrid basis), with the best of facilities, including for people cycling/ running in to work. Potential to negotiate car parking.
  • Progressive culture, including enhanced parental leave.
  • Competitive salary, pension (3% employee:5% employer), bonus, private medical cover and gym membership for all employees.

Why hire you?

  • You are inspired by what you’ve read above. You get it. You want to do it. You know you’ll find it satisfying and rewarding.
  • You are a competent project engineer, able to take ownership and run jobs (with less or more support from the local directors as required).
  • You are currently operating as a Senior Mechanical Engineer (or experienced Mechanical Engineer), working for a contractor or consultancy in the UK.
  • You take pride in doing things well and on time.
  • You could have come through a trade route, apprenticeship or university.
  • You hold a full UK driving licence. This is an office-based role and there will be occasional site visits.
