dunnhumby powers Tesco Retail Media UK through a fully dedicated team, working closely integrated with Tesco teams, business strategies and planning processes. 

What you’ll be working on 

We’re looking for a Senior Media Strategy & Propositions Lead focused on Digital and Personalised retail media within our Tesco Retail Media UK team. This role will support the continuous and long-term development of our digital and personalised media propositions across Tesco.com, Tesco Marketplace, the Tesco Groceries & Clubcard App, and In Store Scan as you Shop.

Supporting the Strategy & Propositions and Retail Media leadership team, you will collaborate with colleagues across key business areas to formulate, develop and deliver our strategic retail media initiatives to market. You will also maintain an up-to-date understanding of key market trends and competitor digital retail media offerings.

What we expect from you

For this role, we have identified preliminary goals of:

  • Subject matter expert on Digital & Personalised retail media, contributing to articulating the strategic vision through written, visualised and spoken communications (including end-to-end workflows, presentations and consultancy recommendations) to our UK, ROI and Tesco Group businesses.
  • Support and lead elements of our Digital & CRM Media Proposition development strategy including Tesco.com Web & App, Tesco Marketplace, Clubcard Personalised Rewards, Scan as you Shop media and dunnhumby Sphere, prioritising using best practice frameworks
  • Forge strong collaborative relationships with peers across key business functions including Mobilisation, Online Technology & Product, Customer, Sales Enablement, Client Services, Optimisation, Legal and Procurement teams.
  • Support go to market for Now, Next and Later phased Proposition development, including internal training and colleague upskilling, and external go to market including webinars and trade shows.

Necessary Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any relevant subject.
  • Demonstrable experience in Retail Media or Media Planning (especially digital) across marketing, selling and servicing within complex, multi-channel, multi-site retail clients or Media Agencies
  • Adept with numbers, calculations, data visualisation and compelling insight to action storytelling, including advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Good working knowledge of the application of enabling technologies for media and broader customer experience (e.g. Ad Tech, Ad Servers, Identity solutions)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Change Management frameworks and / or Product development principles including Agile, Kanban, MoSCoW Prioritisation Frameworks
  • Experience working in the retail and / or CPG industry
  • CRM and/or loyalty rewards scheme experience
  • End to end project / programme management experience
  • Experience of working in similar regional or global roles with large organisations
