Senior Network Deployment Engineer (ULL)
CACI Network Services is a rapidly expanding specialist IT and Networks consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within challenging and exciting environments with our major clients in Global Media, Banking, Government, Telecoms & Utilities.
A Network Engineer is required to join the Ultra Low Latency Team, responsible for the deployment and planning of the our clients network infrastructure.
The team is responsible for the delivery and deployment of network projects and requests to enhance our clients infrastructure to meet current and future business demands:
The role has the following functions:
- Plan, manage and deploy technology changes to support our clients DC services
- Deploy LAN infrastructure to support end user services requirements
- Create implementation plans for RFC's to a high level of detail.
- Support the stability and uptime of essential services by planning changes with a documented best approach mind set.
- Document network estate for Operation Support and to support change planning
- Peer review and validation of technical deployment plans
Required skills:
- Strong level of Cisco Routing & Switching
- CCNP/CCIE certification or to that technical level
- Check Point CCSA/CCSE
- Arista
- F5
- Market data experience
- 5-6 years of working as a senior project engineer in a professional environment
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Strong experience working in Financial Services
- Strong experience working in an Ultra Low Latency environment
- Ability to handle numerous separate projects concurrently
- A very organized individual
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Analyze, review and understand network topologies
- Good understanding of networking principles
- Good documentation skills using MS Office suite and Visio
- Good customer facing skills with the ability to keep the customer informed at all times and understand their requirements
- Good understanding of Load Balancing technologies (F5 preferred)
- Experience in Exchange ULL COLO network setup
- Experience in Exchange/Client on-boarding
