Senior Network Engineer | Manchester (Hybrid 2-3 days a month) | £60-65k Salary + £5k Bonus + On Call Bonus

We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer to be a part of a market leader across Cyber Security and Software Resilience.


The role will sit you within the Network Team who are at the forefront of securing and optimising network infrastructures across the business.

You’ll also get to:

  • Independently lead business critical projects
  • Participate in cross-functional infrastructure teams within a centralised technology centre
  • Act as second- or third-line support for incidents, problems, and changes
  • Mentor and coach junior team members for continuous improvement
  • Ensure seamless integration and delivery of services
  • Collaborate with third parties in providing network infrastructure services
  • Contribute to overall management, including workforce, budget, technology roadmaps, and projects
  • Take primary operational responsibility for assigned services


All about you:

  • A dynamic and experienced individual with expertise in network engineering and a passion for driving excellence.
  • Proven experience taking the lead across large projects independently
  • CCNP Certified
  • Extensive experience with Firewalls and managing Firewall policies - Cisco ASA, Firepower & Cisco Firepower Management Centre.
  • Experienced across a variety of Cisco technologies - IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS.
  • Implementing and troubleshooting L3 routing protocols. (Static, EIGRP, OSPF).
  • Implementing and troubleshooting L2 networking technologies. (VLAN,STP/RSTP).
  • Designing and building secure and resilient data centres and office/branch networks.
  • Proficiency in change management for high-impact, complex requests
  • Familiarity with coding and scripting tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems
  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure and service management frameworks
  • Expertise in technical specialism, systems design, and integration
  • Strong knowledge of network security, modern standards approach, and problem-solving
  • Experience across IPD/IDS would be beneficial but not essential
