@mecscomms is hiring for a remote based, home working - Fixed Wireless Access, Senior Network Engineer to work for a leading Fibre Optic, Telecommunications, Internet & Broadband service provider. The Senior Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design (LLD, HLD), deployment & high level support of lightning fast broadband & fibre optic connectivity services. You will help to design and deploy fixed wireless access (FWA) & Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) solutions. If you have expertise of Broadband networks in either FWA or FTTP coupled with knowledge of some of the following: GPON, XGS-PON, L2/L3 Networking, PON networks, MOSAIC SD-Access Platform, LibreNMS, Icinga, PRTG, Nagios, Cisco CCNA,CCNP Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, I'm keen to hear from you.
Position: Senior Network Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Fibre Engineer
Purpose: As part of the Network Operations team the role will provide network support, network implementation & network management services, for major fixed wireless access & FTTP services. Help to build, test & integrate hybrid network solutions, whilst monitoring & supporting the core network infrastructure.
Location: Work from home - remote working - anywhere UK
Duration: Full time, permanent employment
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 basic + benefits

Overview:
This role sits within the Network Operations team, who manage & deploy FWA & FTTP Networks. This role is vital to help support the company's growth plans & to continue to provide a high quality service to customers.
Responsibilities:
* Support the commissioning, deployment & management of Hybrid Network
* Support in the deployment and management of our FTTP Networks
* Support field engineers with issues escalated from other members of the team
* Create high quality network documentation from new and existing networks
* Handle network issues within the Network Operations Team and across the FTTP Network Estate
* Manage a team of Network Engineers working on the FTTP Estate
* Assist the Network Architecture team in the integration of acquisition networks
* Create HLD and LLD's for Network Deployments based off standard architecture design guidelines
* Improve and develop network processes, making them more efficient
* Act as senior escalation point to the network operation team members
* Manage projects from technical side
* Improve network monitoring and operational excellence
Candidate profile:
We will consider Network Engineers from a variety of backgrounds such as Network Integrator, Service Provider, Telecom, Carrier, Internet, ISP, hosting or similar organisation.
Your background should include either Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) or Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) access networks & your experience, skills & attributes are likely to include some of the following:
* Access technologies: GPON, XGS-PON, FWA, FWA 5Ghz, Cambium, Ubiquity, Siklu, AviatFTTP
* MOSAIC SD-Access Platform
* Monitoring platforms, such as LibreNMS, Icinga, PRTG, Nagios, etc.
* L2/L3 Networking
* VLAN's, PPP, Tunnelling
* AAA; RADIUS
* DNS
* Routing protocols, BGP, OSPF, IPVPN,
* Cisco CCNP or Juniper JNCIAS level networking accreditation
