Role: Senior Network Engineer
Location: West Midlands - Remote
Salary: £70,000
Industry: ISP
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Network Engineer to join a leading ISP based in the West Midlands. You will be responsible for managing, monitoring and maintaining the network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, deploy and maintain the company's network infrastructure.
* Monitor and assess network performance of the company's systems.
* Oversee the day to day operations of the network, including troubleshooting any network issues.
* Ensure the network is secure and meets the company's security requirements.
* Work with other departments to ensure the network is running efficiently.
* Provide technical support and training to other team members.
* Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
* Install and configure new hardware and software.
* Maintain and update documentation of the network.
* Manage and prioritize network projects.
Technical Skills Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies
* Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
* Knowledge of network security
* Knowledge of cloud-based technologies
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
