We are currently recruiting for a Senior Network Programmer to work within a AAA Game Development Studio based in the North West.

We are looking for a Senior Network Programmer to join a growing studio who are working on a number of projects as co and lead developer on unannounced AAA titles for PS4 & PS5, XboxOne, Switch and PC.
The right person will be responsible for delivering networking systems and related gameplay features. As this is a senior position, we do want someone who can provide mentoring and support to the team.
We want someone who has full network stack experience and who is familiar with existing online service providers such as Playfab, Thunderhead, Azure of AOS, and have had previous experience making and shipping video games, preferably AAA.
Key Requirements
Previous experience in making and shipping video games
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
Full network stack experience and understanding
Experience with web sockets or sockets
Experience with Matchmaking using existing systems or building new ones
Experience with integration with game UI and Networking TRC's
Knowledge of security, anti-cheat and encryption strategies, SSL, Bcrypt, AES-CCM encryption
Familiarity with bandwidth optimisation, dead-reckoning, and troubleshooting poor networking conditions
Experience with peer-to-peer networking and client server networking
Nice to have skills
Any knowledge of Unreal Engine
Experience with CloudScript
Ability to analyse a project and create network play strategy
Console experience
Porting experience
