About the role

The Senior payroll analyst processes and audits payroll data to ensure timely and accurate wage payments to all employees while complying with all applicable federal, state, local and company rules and regulations.

You may be eligible for a $500 net sign on bonus to be paid out in your first paycheck

What you'll be doing

  • Pull missed punch reports
  • Pull pending PTO reports
  • Pull payroll hours
  • Export payroll hours
  • Send notices to managers who have employees with incorrect timecards
  • Processes change forms (promotions, terminations, direct deposit, address changes, W4 and state tax forms)
  • Process bonus forms on monthly basis in batch for payroll
  • Process work boot reimbursement monthly in batch for payroll
  • Ensure LOA and terminations are paid properly
  • Input salary continuation payments from benefits
  • Submit changes for Canada payroll, review preview and approve
  • Check all pre-submission reports (active hourly with no hours, terminated employees with pay)
  • Run new hire report for salaried employees to ensure proper pay
  • Submit monthly unions dues for payment
  • Off cycle payments for terminations
  • Calculate garnishment affidavits plus routine wage verifications
  • Payroll reports to shared accounting drive
  • Quarterly filings support (Washington, Nevada, NYS, North Dakota, Wyoming and Canada)
  • Scanning of document that are employee payroll related i.e. direct deposit, W4, change of address
  • Check all new hire entries to ensure accuracy

Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or related degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years Payroll experience
  • Knowledge in payroll systems – preferably Ceridian
  • Knowledge in multi-state payroll
  • Knowledge in multiple company code payroll processing
  • Knowledge in State Tax
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office

Typical Physical Demands and Work Conditions

Regularly uses hands to manipulate phones, computer keyboard and similar tools. Ability to view computer screens, mobile devices, and other electronic equipment, for extended periods of time. Sit and stand to perform administrative work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.

Work is performed in an office environment. Employee must travel throughout the company footprint as required.
