Main purpose of the role:

  • London Payroll oversight and checking payroll data changes
  • To oversee the work carried out by the Payroll Assistant/Administrator
  • To provide support to the Head of Payroll, Compensation and Benefits
  • Keep up to date with legislative changes relating to UK payroll


Key responsibilities:

A list of the main duties and expected outcomes of the role:


Payroll

  • Check the data input for the London payroll
  • Provide reports from UK payroll
  • Verify payments
  • Track payroll changes
  • Process stock sales/loans/vestings
  • Treasury funding
  • Balance the monthly tax and NI accounts
  • Prepare BACS files for processing
  • Complete RTI
  • Prepare monthly pension payments
  • Prepare and process manual payments when required
  • Costing Reports
  • Ensure all data is input to system
  • Make all relevant payroll checks before processing
  • Assist with the process when required


Skills / experience required:

  • Sound, up to date knowledge of Payroll issues and Payroll best practice
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of employment law changes
  • Organisational skills – ability to plan and prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met
  • Communication – ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organisation, both verbally and in writing
  • Analytical skills
  • Client focused
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail


Systems used:

  • Oracle HCM Payroll is a must
  • Advanced Excel (marco level proficiency required)
  • Word
  • Swift/Finastra
