Senior Philanthropy Manager
London (with hybrid working – a minimum of two days per week in the office)
The Organisation
We’re Imperial Health Charity, an organisation that helps our hospitals do more through grants, arts, volunteering and fundraising. We support the five hospitals of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust: Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea, St Mary’s and the Western Eye.
We are currently seeking a Senior Philanthropy Manager to join our team on a full-time basis for a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

The Role
As a Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will drive charitable income generation activities from a strategic and team leadership perspective.
Specifically, you will lead on the generation of income streams and gain buy-in and support from individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations and corporates.
Developing our philanthropy strategy, you will lead a team of specialist philanthropy fundraisers and oversee the implementation of creative fundraising strategies.
As well as managing your team, you will also oversee your own donor portfolio and ensure the delivery of an engaging programme of bespoke donor events and visits, both virtual and in-person.
Additionally, you will:
- Develop and lead our grateful patient engagement programme
- Agree budget pipelines for philanthropic income
- Lead the development of stewardship journeys for high value donors
- Represent us externally in donor meetings, and at cultivation and fundraising events
- Maintain accurate records for stakeholders
About You
To be considered as a Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will need:
- Experience delivering major gifts within the charity sector
- Experience meeting and managing annual budgets and providing management information and reports
- Experience creating cultivation and development plans for major donors and securing five-figure-plus gifts from major donors, trusts and foundations
- Experience managing and developing information on a CRM database
- Knowledge of Institute of Fundraising (IoF) fundraising policies and procedures
