About the role


Performance Communications has a unique opportunity at Senior Account Manager / Ac-

count Director level in its Kingston upon Thames office for an experienced and proactive com-

munications professional to join the award-winning team of automotive, technology and

sports comms specialists.


We are looking for someone who is strong Senior Account Manager or someone who is

ready to take the next step in their career Account Director, with a track record in

conceiving, planning and delivering campaigns across multiple brands. You will possess

strong copywriting ability, great project management skills and a creative storytelling mind,

with excellent client relationship abilities.

We have a reputation for creativity, dynamism and the successful delivery of first-class results

for our portfolio of clients and we are looking for a proactive individual capable of managing

a team across busy accounts.




What you'll be doing


Reporting to the Senior Account Director / Director, you will lead and manage the day-to-day smooth running of a number of high-profile consumer automotive/motorcyle accounts. You don’t need to be a car or bike nut - our role is to make these brands resonate with consumers (everyday people) so it’s important we talk their language. You will be the main port of call for your clients and responsible for the team’s overall creative output, ensuring all work is delivered to the highest possible standard. You will have the chance to lead and execute on large scale national exposure campaigns, through to smaller creative ideas. You won’t be doing this alone, though, you’ll have a team around you to help you deliver great work you will be proud of.


  • You’ll be working on a number of iconic automotive brands

What skills you will need



  • Experience of successfully leading and managing multiple accounts or campaigns
  • Agency experience
  • A proactive self-starter, who can lead and drive workflow, delivering results across key accounts
  • Excellent client management skills and ability to build client relationships quickly
  • Media relations experience, ideally trade/B2B, lifestyle and automotive
  • Proven track record of delivering integrated campaigns
  • Creative skills to come up with ideas that generate earned media coverage in a variety of media sectors, for big and small campaigns, bringing creative input to even the smallest tasks
  • Project management skills across a range of activations, big and small
  • Strong news release writing abilities - able to adapt to different client needs, TOV’s and outputs
  • Time management – the ability to logically plan, develop and execute plans, using the strengths of a team to ensure optimal delivery
  • An ability to manage and nurture a team
  • Budget management
  • Worked with photographers and video productions companies, videographers, designers etc to create newsworthy content
  • Ability to build strong relationships - internally / clients / media / influencers etc.
  • A solid understanding of the automotive and motorcycle industries
  • Influencer relations experience
