Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to join a leading retailer that sells a range products throughout stores and online.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Trading Teams to strengthen our competitive position and optimise product margins. Develop and maintain business relationships with Category Managers and Buyers, merchandising, Online ecommerce teams, store operations etc. Develop and test pricing strategies with the local market in mind with the aim to make them the preferred local choice.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Develop and test pricing strategies in partnership with the category teams to optimise our local competitive position and maximise margins

● Monitor key competitor in-store pricing and recommend price adjustments to ensure they stay competitive.

● Utilise software tools to monitor online competitor pricing and recommend changes to the category and ecommerce teams

● Develop a calendar of range pricing reviews to ensure all categories are regularly checked against local market pricing.

● In partnership with merchandising monitor sell through of end-of-line and discontinued products and adjust pricing accordingly.

● Working with the Head of Trading, develop and maintain a reporting suite to monitor price movement across the business.

● Be aware of the local calendar of events and develop tests to increase footfall and conversion.

● Maintain multiple databases and systems.

● Contribute to the improving processes and efficiencies.

● Work closely with key stakeholders including (Merchandising, Visual Merchandising and Operations teams).

● Keep on top of marketing critical paths and promotional calendars.

● Ad hoc initiatives and projects as required to increase the knowledge of the Buying and Merchandising teams.
