Mission
Build a transparent and accessible financial ecosystem that unlocks value for our customers.
Stepping into Merchant Facing Products
The Financial Experiences pillar is placing a lot of focus on building their operating muscle for customer facing products.
Design has quickly become a close counterpart in shaping immediate products like Balances Top Ups on our Dashboard product, but more importantly, helping to think through and shape a longer term strategy and proposition.
The pillar is the process of defining clear archetypes and user needs, refining and prioritizing a roadmap across Client Balances, Settlements, FX, and Reporting & Reconciliation.
Shaping a collaborative way of working
A core requirement for the pillar is for design to help shape processes, cross-functional requirements and rituals across Product management, Engineering and design in order to help the team work strategically, efficiently and effectively.
Design has an opportunity to define best practices and processes that enable strong collaboration, communication and high quality work. This also means defining clear methods for prioritization and scoping, and importantly, methods for when trade-offs are required in order to deliver impact for the user and business quickly and iteratively.
The team is open and ready to shape the future of ways of working and the product offering as a collective (Product, Engineering and Design).
What you'd be working on
To be a more fully fledged financial platform, the FEX pillar must focus on building solutions for merchants to manage funds on the CKO platform. The mission is to provide these users modern tools to store, move, borrow, and grow funds.
As a first strategic objective, the team will start by investing in funds management tools that drive better usage of Checkout's core products. The aim is to close the gaps and emerge amongst our peers as the most capital efficient multi-product platform with capabilities like data insights, account management and credit.
In the long term the aim is to create bank-like products that are highly adjacent to payment services with credit and borrowing facilities.
Build trust through management and control
Drive deeper user engagement with the Dashboard
Differentiate Checkout and product offering through borrowing
Defining a cohesive and inspiring vision
The above workstreams are all much needed features and are clearly articulated as individual solutions for specific customer problems. The team will also need a north star vision, a well crafted narrative and visual aid, in order to inspire and drive a singular direction for the entire pillar. This will be an ongoing and highly collaborative piece of work that can be used as a team building tool and shared language.
