An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Production Shift Manager to work closely with the site Production Manager & Operations Manager at a leading, global manufacturer. The successful candidate will manage all shift processes, production, and work to health & safety & quality standards. This is a great role for a motivated individual with manufacturing experience to join a progressive business, both working with and developing a growing team.
Role Description
- To drive a continuous improvement culture across the business
- Maintain and improve machine standards, cleanliness, and organisation of working areas.
- Accountable for deploying the operational strategy, identifying opportunities, and driving operational improvements that further enhance the shift performance.
- Monitors, updates, and produces actions that through engagement with all personnel continually drives.
- Increased performance of the shift.
- Works closely shift managers to ensure resource sharing is maximized
- Communicates with all areas of the business to ensure the continual operation of the manufacturing process.
- Overview and responsibility for the shift training matrix ensuring we have the right skills in the right place.
- A key part of the Management team, this role is performance and process focused, using data to drive an effective team that is performance focused within the cultural focus of the company
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working in an FMCG manufacturing environment,
- Team and people management experience, including managing performance.
- Ability to lead and develop teams, spot training and development opportunities
- Management qualifications, desirable
- Ability to build relationship with key internal and external stakeholders
