Join Air Products as a  Senior Project Engineer!
 

Senior Project Engineer is part of the team responsible for the financial and technical delivery of all allocated project activities associated with the sale of equipment, packaged gases operations and production plant projects. New acquisitions will be a particular focus of this role in terms of alignment with Air Products standards and upgrade work.

This responsibility includes the control of design, installation and commissioning of potential new PG depots, civil infrastructure, pressure systems and ancillary equipment provided within the scope of Air Products commercial contractual terms in line with all current quality, safety, prevailing statutory and all other Air Products Procedural requirements.

As Senior Project Engineer you will be involved in projects, proposals, maintenance activities and provision of technical support customers.

Responsibilities within this role also extends to budget management for all allocated project activities using SAP as well as maintenance of any performance / KPI’s set for the project. A key objective will be the ability to manage multiple projects and proposals concurrently, and to strict time scales and budgets.

Success in the role will require clear direction, planning and maintenance of key relationships with the EH&S, regional services, logistics and commercial representatives to ensure delivery of the most operationally suited solutions.


LOCATION: Carrington or Crewe 
EDUCATION: Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Experience with project engineering / project management; with customer-facing environment; communication with various stakeholders; providing clear direction and planning
CONTRACT: Permanent

As a Project Engineer, You Already Have

  • A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in customer facing situations
  • Excellent understanding of safety
  • Strong communication skills across various teams
  • You are proactive, result driven and a self-starter to support this business area
  • Ability to work to deadlines and to manage multiple projects
  • Strong analytical and technical skills are critical; familiarity with PIDs and technical documentation
  • Travel required – 20-30%
