I am seeking an experienced Senior PR Manager for a respected and complex charity organisation with a focus on human interest. This charity has a rich history spanning over a century and offers a wide range of services and exciting campaigns to get involved with including driving policy initiatives, national fundraising campaigns and purpose led international events. You will work with all forms of leading press and televised media outlets generating impressive coverage at a top level.

  • Drive policy changes in the press for the upcoming election
  • Drive one of the UKs most iconic fundraising campaings

As the Senior PR Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to lead impactful national press campaigns and drive policy and research initiatives that directly benefit the community. Working closely with the Head of PR, you will play a vital role in shaping the narrative engaging with key stakeholders to effect positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute national press campaigns, collaborating with internal teams such as CPR and PA teams, to raise awareness and drive policy change.
  • Drive strategic initiatives, securing media coverage in top-tier outlets with all forms including televised media.
  • Innovate and lead an iconic campaign, generating fresh ideas and overcoming media challenges while maintaining the campaign's integrity and significance.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with national media outlets, including The Sun, BBC, ITV, and others, to amplify the voices of veterans and their families.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a team of four, with three direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Identify growth opportunities and contribute to the professional development of team members, ensuring continuous improvement and success.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in PR or journalism, with a proven track record of success in strategic campaign management.
  • Solid in-house experience is preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve excellence.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strategic thinker with a creative mindset, capable of developing innovative campaigns that capture attention and drive impact.
  • Bachelor's degree in PR, journalism, or a related field.

*This position requires a minimum of two days per week in our London office, with the possibility of occasional additional days as needed.
