Job Description

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary consultancy practice with a competitive salary and industry-leading benefits package? If so, please read on!


Our client is a growing practice with six offices across the South of England. Due to continued success, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with recladding experience to manage projects on the South Coast of England. This role will be working within a client’s office in Surrey for 2 days per week, with the rest of the work being more varied. The successful candidate will act on behalf of both public and private sector clients across a diverse range of projects. Travel across the region will be required to fulfil the role's requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Chartered status or suitable experience with a strong understanding of the commercial aspects of construction
  • Enthusiastic and highly motivated individual
  • Full UK driver's license


Key Duties:

  • Work within a strong QS team, reporting to the Associate QS
  • Independently manage key local commissions
  • Participate in design team meetings, providing reporting and advice to clients
  • Perform quality checks on junior staff members
  • Document management in accordance with QA procedures
  • Prepare cost advice in line with RICS guidance notes (including order of cost estimates, viability reports, reinstatement cost assessments, formal cost plans, cash-flow forecasts, life cycle, and whole life costs)
  • Prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process
  • Prepare contracts and conduct post-contract cost management (administer change control processes, value variations, assess contractor’s claims)
  • Prepare valuations for progress payments
  • Prepare post-contract cost reports and final accounts
  • Attend and chair site meetings
