Overview

Westmann has been established for 20 years, with a blue-chip client base in the provision of facilities maintenance support services.


We provide support to some of the UK’s largest facilities maintenance companies, who in turn manage and maintain buildings and infrastructure for end user accounts.


Westmann provides a range of building fabric and technical services, which can form any part of a maintenance item, or full project turnkey solutions. Our FM support services are backed up by full project management capability.


DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the operational team in all daily commercial and contractual aspects.
  • Ensuring proper contractual administration of contracts/project assigned, including value and cost control, and maintenance of contemporaneous records.
  • Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost to allow prompt issue of application for payments or invoicing in line with contractual timescales.
  • Ensure any project change control process is managed effectively, including production of early warnings/variations, with general liaison with the clients agents on a day to day basis.
  • Preparation of financial statements in respect to projects/contracts assigned, working with the operational team to confirm understanding of financial position, proactively instilling commercial awareness throughout the wider business.
  • Support development of individuals within the operational team.
  • Accept extra duties as situations arise.


KEY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRE:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Construction, Civils or Infrastructure
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Qualified to HNC Level Preferred
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of contracts.
  • Strong desire to maintain client relationships whilst not compromising contractual entitlement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You must have the ability to time manage and set priorities under deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic approach to people and projects.
  • Forward thinking and keen to develop smarter delivery of work.
  • Commercially and financially aware.

Salary: £45,000-£55,000.00 per year relevant to experience.

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person at Head Office at Thornton-Cleveleys in Lancashire with UK wide site visit travel as required.
