The Senior Q.S will enjoy the opportunity to be involved in a range of high value projects at all stages from tender, through PCSA and Delivery phase. Our projects cover a diverse range of D&B schemes within education, healthcare, commercial, higher education, heritage, aviation and custodial and can be valued anywhere from £15M - £150M </p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;"><strong>Location</strong>: Manchester</span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;"><strong>Contract</strong>: Full Time, Permanent</span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;"><strong>What will you be responsible for?</strong></span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will take a key role in ensuring the financial success of projects, you will be able to add value throughout the full lifecycle in a commercial lead capacity or as part of a wider team as required.</span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Your day to day will include, but not be limited to:</span></p><p></p><ul><li>Advising on financial feasibility of projects at early stages</li><li>Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement.</li><li>Assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages.</li><li>Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.</li><li>Managing applications for payment from sub contractors</li><li>Preparation of applications for payment to clients.</li><li>Ensuring all additions and variations are costed and logged in line with the contract conditions.</li><li>Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)</li><li>Preparation<span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;"> of final accounts</span></li></ul><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;"><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you can:</span></p><p></p><ul><li>Demonstrate experience working on 2 stage D&B bids (desired)</li><li>Strong Knowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions.</li><li>Prior experience of working within Main Contracting organisations delivering construction build projects </li><li>Demonstrable track record of delivering high value projects – from £20M up to £100M in value.</li><li>Confidence in dealing with client reps, sub contractors and internal stakeholders</li><li>Ability to mentor and oversee more junior commercial staff.</li><li></li></ul><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Were all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
