SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR | CLIENT SIDE
Up to £75,000 per annum plus excellent benefits and bonus scheme
LONDON
I have been exclusively instructed by one of Britain's largest landlords who specialise in unique spaces. They manage and provide services to over 5,000 of their assets across their portfolio in the UK. The services department is responsible for delivery of construction services, the commercial management team are responsible for the effective procurement and cost management of contract works nationally. With a focus on effective procurement and cost management, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will play an integral role within the cost management team, by managing external consultants and delivering value to the nationwide portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing budget advice and analysing consultant QS budget advice and contractor pricing.
- Managing procurement initiatives and managing contracts across projects and services.
- Managing relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and consultants
- Overseeing the consistent management of our supply chain and leading internal team of Quantity Surveyors
- Conducting financial analysis and benchmarking of contractor pre/post measures and final accounts.
- Implementing strategic supply chain procurement and negotiating financial settlements with suppliers.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Previous experience at a QS consultancy environment.
- MRICS or similar QS professional qualification.
- Experience in use of NBS and heritage buildings preferred
- 5+ years of post-degree experience as a cost manager.
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Power Point.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of people.
- Car driver with a full UK clean driving license
