Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager
Location: Central London
I am currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Manager to join one of our close clients for the final stages of a £15mil residential project in Central London.
They are looking for someone who has extensive contractual knowledge and is familiar with dealing with subcontractor packages & claims.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the contractual aspects of the project, ensuring adherence to all relevant agreements and regulations.
· Manage subcontractor packages, including procurement, negotiation, and administration.
· Handle claims and disputes effectively, utilising your extensive contractual knowledge to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
· Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
· Provide strategic guidance and support to the project team, leveraging your expertise to drive cost efficiency and project delivery excellence.
Requirements:
· Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
· Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of successfully managing large-scale residential projects.
· Extensive knowledge of construction contracts and regulations, with a focus on subcontractor management and claims resolution.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
· Membership in a relevant professional organisation (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
