Position Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing all aspects of the financial and contractual side of our roofing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets and cost plans.
Conduct detailed material take-offs and prepare bills of quantities.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost control.
Evaluate and negotiate contracts and tenders.
Assess and manage project risks and opportunities.
Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
Provide regular financial progress reports to senior management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the roofing or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Proficiency in cost estimating and financial management software.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving license.
