Job Description
Global Insurance/Reinsurance business are looking to add a Senior R Modelling Actuary to their Model Development and Analytics team in Actuarial Control, to build a tool that enables actuaries fulfil responsibilities under quarterly closing process.
As well as proven R Programming skills you will need solid actuarial/Insurance domain knowledge.
The team work with an Agile workflow in small teams and use Azure DevOps to track and plan work. They use R for the solution development and are looking for someone with very strong R skills and ideally exposure to newer technologies such as data.table, Rcpp, Arrow, DuckDB. Or willing to spend time getting up to speed with them.
Familiarity with Posit Workbench, Posit Connect, Posit Package Manager will be beneficial.
Strong communications skills required.
