The Role
Here at St Georges Vets, Bushbury we are looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The required duties of this role include senior nursing duties such as: contributing towards projects and plans for the practice, clinical coach duties, preparing animals for theatre, monitoring anaesthetics, performing nurse consultations, promoting preventative health care for pets, stock control and delivering excellent patient and client care.
The successful candidate will be working Monday - Friday with varied shifts and weekends will be 1 in 4 Saturdays 9 am-4 pm. A day off will be allocated for working a Saturday. There is no out-of-hours required for this role. The salary for this role is up to £28,500 depending on experience.
About Us
We are a growing GP branch fully equipped with dental x-ray, ultrasound, a laparoscopic kit, in-house blood machines and laboratory equipment. The theatre is equipped to carry out procedures such as cat, dog and rabbit neuters, laparoscopic bitch spays, mass removals, and dentals. Bushbury is also currently an auxiliary training practice. Once a digital x-ray is installed, we will have full training practice status.
About the Team and Culture
The successful candidate will be working alongside a dedicated Senior Veterinary Surgeon as well as one other Vet, two Receptionists and two Animal Care Assistants. We currently have two Clinical Directors and one Practice Director across the group.
Our fantastic team is made up of 15 Veterinary Surgeons some of whom have certificates in diagnostic imaging, medicine, and surgery. We also have 25 Registered Veterinary Nurses and a team of Animal Care Assistants who work at our animal hospital and larger branches. There are roughly 30 dedicated receptionists across the group also.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for someone with the ability to lead a team, work well within a team and who can provide high-quality care to all pets and pet owners. This role would be suitable for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse who has experience in leadership and/or management. This would also suit an RVN who is looking for the next step in their career.
