Regulatory Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial – Payments - London – 7+pqe
Our client is a leading global payments business.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a cutting edge fin tech payments business with a global footprint. They are looking for a Senior Regulatory Legal Counsel to report to the Group General Counsel and work closely with the CEO. Together with the commercial legal counsel, you will make up the London, UK legal team and will liaise with the rest of the legal team in Europe.
You will have post qualification experience in providing legal support in a regulated financial services environment. You will have a strong working knowledge of the Payment Services Regulations and FinTech Regulations as well as a technical knowledge of UK and EEA payment services and e-money regulations . A understanding of open banking products and services; AIS and PIS, Crypto asset regulation and the regulatory developments in digital assets would also be beneficial.
You will be well rounded in experience, creative in solving issues and willing ‘to hit the ground running’. Previous experience in either an online payments or the financial services or regulatory environments (e-wallets, banking, online-processing) would be helpful for this role. You will be keen to learn everything about the payments industry and to develop the skills required.
