Senior Reserving Manager STG

It is a hybrid role that can offer flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office 1-2 days a week.

What the day will look like
As a senior member of our team you will play a vital role in meeting the expectations of our clients through leading and managing teams of Consultants who are delivering high quality cutting-edge reserving solutions and projects using our proprietary software, Tyche.
Day to day activities will include:
- Working with the Technology Head of Reserving to define and execute implementation strategies to achieve group objectives
- Overseeing client implementations of the Tyche Reserving System
- Managing relationships with new clients and implementation partners to provide key leadership and oversight of client implementations
- Actively engaging with new clients and implementation partners on scoping, including providing resource estimates that represent the level of effort required to successfully deliver the projects
- Supporting the sales process through overseeing proof of concept exercises and trials
- Managing and overseeing development work from a technical business perspective
- Leading a team of actuarial consulting developers, with a focus on promoting understanding, ownership, and career development whilst embracing a diverse and inclusive culture

STG is Aon’s new global consulting and technology business focused on, but not limited to, insurance and reinsurance companies and other participants in the insurance industry. The business provides strategy consulting, technology solutions and advisory services to many of the most prestigious companies in Global (Re)insurance. We have privileged access to Aon’s proprietary data, software, and the knowledge of its global network of insurance industry experts to derive unique and compelling insights into the sources of competitive advantage in our industry.
Aon’s software platform, Tyche, is used by some of the largest life, non-life, composite and pension firms worldwide, which benefit from the ground-breaking capabilities that Tyche gives them.
Having successfully implemented Tyche solutions to clients for reserving purposes, we now need to bolster our existing team to roll out a market-changing actuarial reserving system. Our objective is that our clients will be able to run their entire reserving process in one end-to-end reserving system in Tyche.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- General insurance reserving experience of 4+ years ideally, and demonstrated ability across reserving, capital modelling or pricing
- Good communicator with the ability to adapt to suit different audiences, and good at building relationships
- Experience of leading all aspects of the delivery of and/or developing actuarial tools
- Team and line management experience
- Ability to work under pressure: proactive, shows resolve and adapts to evolving situations
- A self-motivated team player that works collaboratively
- Excellent organisational skills
