Job Description

Job Title : Senior Residential Support Worker Location:  Buckinghamshire Hours: Full-Time (40.5 hours per week on rota shifts to meet the needs of the home) Salary: £25,272 – £26,851.50 pa (£12.00 - £12.75 per hour) Plus: An additional £55 per sleep in duty (2-3 sleep in duties per week, £5,720 - £8,580 pa) Reports to: Registered Home Manager Must be a Driver Benefits : The Real Living Wage as a minimum Full induction and introductory programme Fully funded training and qualifications Enhanced pay scales that recognise both qualifications and experience Additional overtime opportunities Enhanced company maternity & paternity pay Free meals Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check paid for by us 28 days annual leave Main duties and responsibilities: To recognise, respond to, record, and refer any safeguarding concerns in line with the home’s Safeguarding Policy. To ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people is paramount in everyday practice. To work in line with each child/ young person’s risk assessment and emotional/ behavioural support plans. To recognise and meet children and young people’s individual needs. To promote good health and well-being for all children and young people. To treat each child and young person with dignity and respect. To help each child/ young person to express their views, wishes and feelings; and advocate for them when needed. To support and encourage children/ young people to be central to their care planning. Where appropriate, and as agreed with the team around the child, to offer on-going contact or support to young people that have left the home. To actively promote and support each child/ young person’s education, training, or employment. To ensure that health and safety regulations are complied with including environmental health and fire regulations. To ensure that the home environment is maintained to promote a sense of order, safety, and well-being, as well as a sense of pride. To support and encourage children/ young people to be central to their care planning. To support the young people to engage in hobbies, interests, and new experiences at the home and in the community. To actively promote and support each child/ young person’s education, training, or employment. To contribute to cleaning and maintenance at the home and ensure that the children/ young people are supported in all domestic aspects regarding their own rooms. To ensure that the home environment is maintained to promote a sense of order, safety, and well-being, as well as a sense of pride. To undertake any other training and professional development as directed by the registered provider.
