Job Description

As a recruiter partnering with an exciting hedge fund, we are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. This role presents an opportunity for an experienced individual to contribute their expertise in security technologies and methodologies within the financial industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level security consultancy and engineering support for Windows/Azure security solutions.
  • Ensure architecture assurance on Windows security initiatives and compliance with existing security standards.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of Authentication platforms both on premises and in the cloud.
  • Offer security consultancy and engineering support for SAML, OIDC, and Kerberos authentication across various Identity providers.
  • Actively monitor emerging security technologies, trends, and solutions, assessing their applicability to business initiatives and strategies.
  • Participate in Information Security Incident Response activities.
  • Monitor compliance with information security policies and procedures among employees, contractors, and third parties.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create and enforce policies, including Technology organization, Trading units, Legal, Internal Audit, and Compliance.
  • Lead efforts to ensure security compliance according to regulatory standards required by governing bodies.
  • Provide support to Security and technical operations staff and mentor junior security professionals.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of all Security products, tools, technologies, and processes.


Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a technical role, with at least 2+ years focusing on information security in the financial industry.
  • Strong understanding and experience in engineering Microsoft security solutions.
  • Understanding of C#/.NET and good experience PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience managing IaaS, SaaS solutions, and services using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of SAML, OIDC, and Kerberos authentication.
  • Experience with Office 365 security controls and Azure Active Directory.
  • Understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions and Azure Information Protection (AIP).
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies for compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Knowledge and experience in security technologies such as EDR, SIEM, and Vulnerability Management is a plus.
  • Relevant security certifications (CISSP, GCIA, CISM, etc.) and/or product certifications (Azure, Windows, AD, etc.) are desirable.
