UK HAZARDOUS WASTE SECTOR EXPERIENCED SITE CHEMIST WITH 2+ YEARS EXEPRIENCE, REQUIRED TO WORK AT A BUSY RECEPTION SITE & TRANSFER STATION
PACKAGE: £28-32K Plus 5% Bonus, Pension and Benefits
LOCATION: Merseyside
Taking and analysing hazardous waste samples including liquids (including acids, alkalis, oils, petrol, effluent, and diesel), coatings, paints, thinners.
Loading and unloading hazardous waste from vehicles
Leading a team (depending on experience)
Management of all relevant paperwork
Ensuring compliance within Safety, Environmental and Company policy
COSHH assessments
Preparation of processed waste streams for National Distribution
You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Site Chemist working in the Hazardous Waste Sector
You will have a good standard of verbal and written communication, and be competent in Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience of directly interfacing with a client would be desirable.
YOU WILL HAVE a HNC in Chemistry or higher. Related Subjects e.g. Biochemistry, Geochemistry will be considered ideally at Degree level where sufficient Chemistry modules were included
Qualifications that would be advantageous:
FLT License
WAMITAB COTC
IOSH of NEBOSH safety qualification or similar
