About the company:

We are working with a leading global travel company dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for travelers around the world. The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of their systems, enabling them to deliver best-in-class services to their customers.

What You Will Do:

  1. Collaborate with feature and platform teams to deliver solutions that enhance the availability, latency, and performance of the services and applications.
  2. Manage end-to-end availability and performance, implementing automation to prevent and resolve issues.
  3. Work closely with other engineering teams to leverage existing frameworks and improve overall reliability.
  4. Drive the establishment and achievement of service-level objectives to maintain product reliability.

Requirements:

4+ years of experience as a software or systems engineer.
Proficiency in observability tooling and AWS or other cloud-native applications.
Java skills or similar development languages, as large amounts of the code base are in Java and you will need to investigate performance issues to ensure they are infrastructure related not code related.
Strong scripting skills (shell or Python).
Deep understanding of scaling solutions and architectural principles.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor team members.
Passion for learning and staying updated on industry best practices.

Nice to Haves:

Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or with high-availability systems.
Background in production infrastructure and troubleshooting distributed systems.
Familiarity with mobile development and distributed computing.

What You'll Get:

£90,000 base salary.
