SoCode Recruitment is hiring on behalf of one of its reputable clients in the Cambridge tech space. Our client is a machine learning company operating within the legal sector and looking to scale massively throughout 2024 and into 2025. They have a well-regarded/proven product in the market and a client base to match this. After recently gaining a lot of positive traction in the news and closing a recent funding round they are looking to make several key hires.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a talented engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the core platform, working on both the front-end and back-end components to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions. As a senior member of the team, you will also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices across the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Take the lead on engineering initiatives.
- Mentor other engineers in software development and promote an environment for learning and growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and system architecture.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in coding, testing, and maintenance to ensure excellence in software development.
- Take ownership of decisions and be accountable for the results, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert for one or more areas of our technology stack and assist others in those areas.
Desirable requirements:
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the attitude to continue learning.
- Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with a frontend framework is also a bonus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from a Top 200 Global University with a First or 2:1, preferably in a STEM subject.
